Connecting sustainability with complete communities and a strong economy is vital in creating a thriving waterfront and city that can be enjoyed for generations. In May, ten compliant submissions for the Quayside Development Opportunity Request for Qualifications (RFQ) were received. The number and quality of submissions is a clear indication that Toronto’s waterfront remains a desirable development destination, and that Quayside can and will contribute to the city’s post-pandemic recovery.

Waterfront Toronto today launched an international competition to secure a development partner for the Quayside lands. The first step in this effort is to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify potential development proponents with the proven experience, design portfolio, financial resources, and shared vision necessary to bring Quayside to reality.
