Waterfront Toronto issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) on March 17, 2017 entitled: Innovation and Funding Partner for the Quayside Development Opportunity. The RFP details the project objectives and the process, which includes a blackout period that must be observed by all proponents and participants until our Board of Directors has approved the selected partner and the formal announcement is made. We expect to make that announcement later this fall.

Waterfront Toronto Receives $1.25 Billion in Government Funding to Undertake Pioneering Project to Flood Protect Port Lands

One of North America’s largest underused urban areas is poised for extensive revitalization after Waterfront Toronto today received $1.25 billion in shared funding from the governments of Canada, Ontario and Toronto. The Port Lands Flood Protection Project will flood protect the Port Lands and build the necessary infrastructure to unlock the area’s potential for new neighbourhoods and employment areas.
