Toronto, June 19 – After three years of construction, Toronto’s revitalized waterfront boulevard is open – on schedule, and in time for the Redpath Waterfront Festival and the upcoming Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.
Waterfront Toronto announces successful consultant team to undertake peer review of the Environmental Assessment related to the Proposed Runway Extension and Introduction of Jet Aircraft at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Following an open procurement process, Waterfront Toronto has selected Arcadis Canada as the successful consultant team to conduct a peer review of the PortsToronto Environmental Assessment (EA) on the proposed runway extension and introduction of jet aircraft at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA), as proposed by Porter Airlines. Waterfront Toronto will oversee the peer review, which is being supported and funded by PortsToronto.

The transition back to two-way vehicular traffic operations on Queens Quay will commence on Monday June 1, 2015. From that day until June 10, eight Queens Quay intersections with the new traffic controllers and associated signal lights will be commissioned.
