Port Lands Villiers Island (Cousins Quay) Precinct Plan Public Meeting - May 15, 2014
Help us plan the future of the Port Lands Waterfront Toronto, in collaboration with the City of Toronto and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, is developing a precinct plan for the Cousins Quay Precinct. We invite you to attend a public meeting to provide feedback on the development of this precinct plan. At this first public meeting we will present guiding principles and several different options for how the precinct could be developed. Your participation and ideas are important and will help shape the future of the Cousins Quay Precinct and the Port Lands. Public Meeting Details: Drop-in and View Displays – 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. Presentation and Facilitated Discussion – 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The precinct plan will establish design and development objectives, local street patterns, block structure, linkages between local parks and open spaces, and built form controls. The plan will also identify other mechanisms needed to ensure revitalization and high-quality development in the Cousins Quay Precinct. This planning exercise is one of four initiatives currently underway in Toronto’s Port Lands. The Cousins Quay Precinct Plan will complement and be coordinated with the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project Environmental Assessment (“DMNP EA”), the Lower Don Lands Master Plan Environmental Assessment Study (“LDL EA”), and the Port Lands Planning Framework currently underway.
