August 13, 2012, Toronto, ON —  Canada’s Sugar Beach will once again open its doors to Sail-In Cinema, the first floating movie event in North America.

For three nights in August, Canada’s Sugar Beach will be transformed into an outdoor theatre where movie fans can watch nautical-themed movies on a two-sided screen anchored to a barge on Lake Ontario. The movies can be viewed both from land or boat. The programming this year includes The Poseidon Adventure, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Hook.

The Toronto Port Authority launched the free movie festival last year. More than 2,000 moviegoers and 70 boats turned up at Canada’s Sugar Beach to attend this unique waterfront event.

Sail-In Cinema runs from August 16, 2012 to August 18, 2012. Doors open at 7pm and all movies start at approximately 8:45pm. Sail-In Cinema is a free event but tickets must be ordered online. Full programming is available at www.sailincinema.com.
