Waterfront Toronto is now accepting proposals for Arts & Culture programs in waterfront spaces

Animating Our Waterfront grant program returns for 2017

Waterfront Toronto’s Animating Our Waterfront program returns for its second year. The program provides funding to individuals, organizations, collectives and groups that want to create free arts and cultural programming in waterfront parks and public spaces during the summer months. The objective of this program is to facilitate arts and cultural programming that celebrate public spaces and invite Torontonians and visitors to enjoy our waterfront.

Winning Team Selected for Public Art Installation in Aitken Place Park

By Ilana Shamoon

Waterfront Toronto has awarded the public art commission for Bayside's Aitken Place Park to the Calgary-based artist team of Caitlind Brown, Wayne Garrett, and Studio North. The artists have proposed a large-scale light projection that invites slow, contemplative interaction with visitors to the park.

Bringing Arts and Culture to Our New Waterfront Neighbourhoods

Building on the success of Nuit Blanche 2015 and our recent Sugar Beach Sugar Shack event, we’re doing even more to help Torontonians revisit and reimagine their waterfront. (Image: Christof Migone’s Hit installed on Queens Quay. Photo by Connie Tsang.)
