Waterfront Toronto's Report Card

Waterfront Toronto will be hosting a town hall meeting to give members of the public an opportunity to get an update and ask questions about waterfront revitalization.

A lot has changed on the waterfront since Waterfront Toronto was formed in 2001. We are at the half way point of our mandate and we’re looking towards the next phase of waterfront revitalization. So we’d like to take this opportunity to present a report on what we’ve accomplished, and give you – the community, our stakeholders and the people who are affected by the changes taking place on our waterfront – the opportunity to provide your thoughts.

We’re holding a public town hall on Wednesday, April 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Toronto Reference Library. Our President and CEO John Campbell will present a half-way report of what has been achieved to date. For those who can’t join us in person, we’ll be hosting a live webcast where you can watch and interact online. We’ll look back on some of the remarkable new communities that are well underway – like East Bayfront and the West Don Lands – as well as some of our most popular and well-loved parks and public spaces – like Canada’s Sugar Beach, Corktown Common and Sherbourne Common. And we’ll look ahead at what’s to come and how we plan to continue creating new live, work, play neighbourhoods that deliver economic and social benefits to our city.

We’ll open up the floor and give you the opportunity to ask questions, share your views and raise any concerns to Mr. Campbell and members of our senior management team. We’re always looking for ways to be accountable and earn the trust of the people who care about Waterfront Toronto – so join the conversation!
