Another Step Towards a Continuous Waterfront Walk

When we asked you to identify priorities for Toronto’s waterfront, a continuous promenade was at the top of the list. In surveys we conducted in 2018, more than 44% of respondents said a continuous waterfront walk is what they want most.

January 23, 2020, Toronto, ON - Today the Board of Waterfront Toronto agreed to extend the date for a decision on moving forward with the Quayside project from March 31, 2020, until May 20, 2020. This extension is to allow the public more time to offer input into Waterfront Toronto’s evaluation of Sidewalk Lab’s proposals for Quayside.

Preliminary Human Rights Impact Assessment for Quayside Project

Waterfront Toronto is undertaking a preliminary human rights impact assessment to help proactively answer questions, identify risks and mitigation strategies, should they be needed.

On October 31, 2019, based on resolution of key issues with Sidewalk Labs’ draft Master Innovation and Development Plan (MIDP), our Board of Directors provided a green light to proceed with the technical evaluation of the amended MIDP and to undertake further public consultation.
