Waterfront Toronto Selects Final Public Art Installation for Front Street Promenade

November 18, 2014, Toronto, ON  – Last month, Waterfront Toronto awarded Berlin-based artists Hadley+Maxwell the third and final public art commission for Front Street East in the West Don Lands. The artists have proposed Garden of Future Follies, a new sculptural work, which will be located on the corner of Front Street East and Bayview Avenue. This section of the new Front Street promenade will form a series of urban rooms that will define the emerging neighbourhood.

An Innovative Design Competition, launched today in partnership with the City of Toronto, will set the stage for the revitalization of the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal and Harbour Square Park.

Waterfront affordable housing development adopted by Council

June 10, 2014, Toronto, ON— A plan to develop 80 affordable rental homes within a mixed-use market condominium building on the Toronto waterfront was adopted by City Council today.

"Congratulations to all of the partners involved in making affordable housing happen in the new East Bayfront community," said Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly. "The approval of the Bayside Pilot Project affirms Toronto's commitment to city residents having the opportunity to live in all neighbourhoods."
